easyePublish.com is your one-stop-shop for ePublishing your orginial book. Once you've written a book, easyePublish.com enables you to get you book up on all the popular book eTailers including Amazon (Kindle), Barnes and Noble (Nook), iTunes (Apple), Kobo books, Sony Ereader Store , and more!
easyePublish.com will also provide you with the tools, help, and information you need to monetize your eBook. For example, if you need a proofreader for your book, check the box on the MyTitles area, and easyePublish.com provide you with a proofreader.
How do I ePublish my book?
To get started ePublishing your book the easy way, click on the Easy ePublish tab, and follow the steps. You'll be done in a few minutes.
How long does it take for my book to appear on eTailer sites?
We want your books to show up at the eTailer as quickly as possible. It normally takes from one to four days from the time you've finished the Easy ePublish steps until your friends, family, and readers can purchase your books at their favorite site.
How do I get paid for my books?
easyePublish.com acts as the publisher of your books for the eTailer sites. The eTailers take 30 to 90 days to provide royalty payments for the books that they sell. easyePublish.com will distribute your royalties within two weeks as they become available from the eTailers.
easyePublish.com charges a 15% commission from all eTailer royalty payments.
What are the upfront costs to using easyePublish.com?
There aren't any. Really. No hidden charges, we promise.
How does easyePublish.com make money?
We charge a 15% commission on your royalties. If you don't make money, we don't make money, so we also provide you with advice and tools to help you market your book. We do have some fee based services including proofreading and Purple Papaya Backlist Services, but you aren't required to use any of them to publish with us.
Does easyePublish.com offer advances?
No. We are a self-publishing service.
Why does easyePublish.com charge for an ISBN?
Some eTailers (like Amazon and Barnes & Noble) do not require an ISBN. If you publish only to them, you will not need one. Others (like Kobo, iTunes, and Sony) require an ISBN. We believe we are offering a fair price to assign an ISBN to your book. If you choose not to purchase an ISBN when you first publish, you can always visit the MyTitles tab to assign an ISBN later, just be sure click on the Publish to Retailers step.
Do I need a cover for my book?
Yes, eTailers require that you have a cover for your book.
Does easyePublish.com provide cover art?
During the publishing steps, you will have the opportunity to use our free "cover creator" tool to make a basic cover for your book.
How long am I committed to your service?
You aren't. You can terminate your relationship at any time. We will remove your books from eTailers in a timely manner, but we can't guarantee that the books will be immediately taken off sale.
If I stop using easyePublish.com, will I get the EPUB and MOBI documents?
If I stop using easyePublish.com can I continue to use my ISBN?
No. And we're really sorry about this. ISBNs are assigned to a publisher and as your publisher, the ISBN is ours. We are unable to transfer it to you. If you choose to publish your eBook with another publisher, you will need to acquire a new ISBN.
Will easyePublish.com proofread my book?
We do contract with a number of proofreaders. There is a charge for this service. You can check the "proofread my book" box when you upload your manuscript and we will give you a quote. You can either accept the quote and pay for the service through PayPal or close the window. You are not required to use our proofreading service in order to publish your book. This is offered as a convenience to authors who would like to have their books proofed.
Does easyePublish.com charge a commission to use their service?
Is easyePublish.com a vanity publisher and does it provide on-demand printing of paper books?
easyePublish.com is not a vanity publisher and does not provide on-demand printing. There are no up-front charges or expensive usage fees to get your books onto eTailer sites using easyePublish.com.
Does easyePublish.com sell my books as a retail site?
No, easyePublish.com doesn't compete with the eTailer sites like Amazon and Barnes and Noble. We want as many people as possible to read your books, and that means getting your books out to where the consumers are looking for them.
Does easyePublish.com restrict book content?
Can I use easyePublish.com to publish public domain books?
Our policy on public domain content reflects the requirements of the supported eTailers. In general, if you're not adding significant, original content to a public domain book, the eTailers won't allow you to sell those books on their sites.
Can I distribute free books using easyePublish.com?
What is Espresso Book Machine(r)?The Espresso Book Machine is a very cool machine (and business) that will print, bind, and trim a perfect-bound paperback in minutes! There are Espresso Book Machines at bookstores and libraries across the US and internationally. Your readers can order a print copy of your book and pick it up at the bookstore or have it shipped.
Why would I choose Espresso Book Machine as an eTailer option?If you need a print option for your books, you can choose EBM as an eTailer option. As with all of our eTailer options, there is no upfront fee to have your book converted and uploaded to EBM.
Can I set pricing specifically for EBM?Due to the material costs and payments to the stores and libraries hosting the EBM, there is a minimum charge for your book based on the page count. Some of our eTailers require that your eBook is priced 20% (or more) below any print options for your title. Our software will handle all calculations to ensure that your print price meets all necessary requirements--and then we'll round that price up to the nearest .49 or .99.
How much will I get paid using EBM?On Demand Books, the company behind EBM, will remit to us 25% of the list price of your book. We will take our usual 15% fee and send the rest to you like we already do.
